I did some walking around Hong Kong Island (where my parents live) and managed to get the lay of the land. Mom and I walked all over checking out random alleys and markets. It’s neat to see alley markets in the middle of a modern city.
Even though it’s the 31st here it’s only the 30th in Toronto, so hopefully my next post will be of the firework celebrations on NYE. We won’t be going to the mainland side of HK to view them because (1) it’ll be crazy busy and (2) we don’t live there, why worry about public transport when you can just stroll down to the water from the apartment?
