Ok, so last night Manny and I went and got injected with some diseases, some of you may call that a vaccination. All in all we both needed 5 shots, one oral vaccination and a prescription for two sets of pills. Not all of them were needed but advised. The most important was the yellow fever one because you need a certificate of the shot to get into some countries.
My list of things to do before I leave is ever expanding but the time to do it is dwindling. I really gotta stop planning these trips last minute. A trip of this grandeur requires more that two weeks to organize everything, but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible.
What was done today:
- some house cleaning (this will be done every day)
- bought the wrong hard drive to back up my photos (but I can use it for other reasons)
- did some research on camera equipment I need to buy
- oh yeah, I also bought the actual tickets in and out of Nairobi
So my flights are as follows:
20/11/08 – Toronto to Amsterdam @ 18:05
- flight length: 7:10
- land @ 7:15 (the next day)
21/11/08 – Amsterdam to Nairobi @ 10:20
- flight length: 8:05
- land @ 20:25
15/01/09 – Nairobi to Amsterdam @ 22:50
- flight length: 8:40
- land @ 5:30 (the next day)
16/01/09 – Amsterdam to Toronto @ 13:40
- flight length: 8:10
- land @ 15:50
I still have to guy flights to Gulu and Tanzania, but I’ll do that once I’m in the country. This is almost 60 days abroad!
I’m nervous/excited/scared all at the same time.
