Anybody that’s been in the Toronto area over the last few days knows there we’ve been suffering through something fierce… a massive heat-wave. Normally 30-37 day wouldn’t be too bad if it was a dry heat b/c then there would be a difference between the sun and shade. But no… that’s not how we do it… we need humidity! So the temperature is exactly the same in the sun and the shade. And that doesn’t just suck for playing ultimate, it sucks b/c I live in a 80+ y/o house that doesn’t have air conditioning!! I know… it’s really pathetic, my family is single handedly keeping the fan industry in business. Well not quite, but close enough.
Needless to say that living on the second floor sucks, but it’s ok for me b/c I can go to the basement and cool down a bit, but not Deuce. Silly me left Deuce up in my room. He’s been doing fine with the heat wave, and didn’t think much of it until today, that is until today. I don’t know what it is, but he couldn’t handle it anymore. Some time today he decided to kick the bucket. That’s right, Deuce is no more. I think this is just someone’s way of telling me that I shouldn’t be in charge of anyone or anything. He’s only lasted a couple months, yet he’s the one that’s lasted the longest. It’s sad, I’ve had a previous fighting fish, a couple turtles and a dozen of so goldfish, and they’ve all perished quickly. Yes I know that they’re all aquatic pets but that’s all that’s been allowed for me growing up and their easier to maintain. So this evening is was a little bit sad when I came back from practice, was gonna feed him and he was motionless at the bottom. *sniff*
